Family Weekend

How wonderful was it that Julie & Guy came over to visit the first weekend the extension was completed. Michael, Nancy and the boys came up on Saturday for lunch. What a great family visit. Home made pizza was on the menu and Jagger stepped in as sous-chef to build the pizzas.

It was just so nice to sit around the dining table and visit and laugh. It’s times like these that really emphasize what a super decision this was to move North.

The next day, Guy and I did our traditional lookey-look at the Flea Market at the Veterans Building. This was pretty much the first non-rainy Sunday in quite some time. There were a fair amount of vendors and we managed to find a couple of things.

After we returned, we packed a picnic lunch and headed over to Jack London State Park. The sun had come out by then and the rapeseed was in full bloom.

Dinner was traditional Sunday BBQ rib eye with lots of grilled vegetables, a good bottle of local red wine, and good conversation. Thanks all of you for a wonderful family weekend!
