Third of 2015 40/8 Flea Markets

July 408It appears that each 40/8 Flea Market at the Santa Rosa Veterans building has more and more vendors each time. There were very few empty spaces and the ones that I saw I imagine were no-shows. Good for the organizers which benefit the Santa Rosa Junior College nursing scholarship program. Pity that they can’t have more.

I got there 30 minutes after the opening and got one of the last spots in the lot. Even though some vendors weren’t set up the lots were full and the people were hunting in earnest.

Great variety of items for sale, but the repurposed succulent planters were still the most popular selling item.

I’m bringing back the “guess what this is game” with an item I bought today. Such an interesting piece, I couldn’t resist it even though I’m not sure how I will use it. It’s english silver-plate and stands about 4-1/2 inches high and is about 6 inches long. Can you guess what it is? …and while you’re at it, share your ideas as to what I can use it for.

Wonder if the August heat will deter vendors.
From what I’ve seen, I doubt it.
Really looking forward to it.

Second of 2015 40/8 Flea Markets

The second of the 5 40/8 Flea Markets at the Santa Rosa Veterans building was as large as the first one. There were far more people at the venue than the first time. Parking was problematic as even with all the parking at the Park & Ride lot as well as the Veterans building there wasn’t enough.

Great variety of items for sale, but the repurposed succulent planters were still the most popular selling item.

thumbs down

To the organizers for making constant negative announcements about cars parked illegally. Added such a negative tone to the event. It would have been better to just make the announcement about the cars.

BIGthumbs down thumbs down:
for selling a vendor space IN the electric charging station, thereby blocking access to EVs when there were plenty of other places open for the vendor to use.

Looking forward to the next one on July 12th.
