With our growing Gerardin Family and the need to have spouses and partners parents host their children at their homes, we’ve changed to making our BIG Gerardin gathering on the even years. Normally the Thanksgiving gathering is at Stevie & Gerry’s house but Gerry suggested we have it here at our house as they were planning a kitchen remodel.
Adam has become quite the wine connoisseur because of his job in the wine and beer department. Stephen Rossi suggested that all the cousins take on the wine order for the Thanksgiving meal with Adam doing the purchasing with his “employee discount”. Oh yah! He chose a super variety of wines and champagnes and we presented him with a Somm tasting cup from Chateau Mersault in gratitude. (See photo below for the presentation).

For nibbles, Antoinette contributed her famous deviled eggs and Nancy her dutch stuffed sausage rolls.
For the main meal we served Arugula Salad with Chanterelles, Pears, Parmesan, and Cider Vinaigrette, Garlic-Aioli Roasted Turkey with Lemon-Parsley Au Jus, brussels sprouts with bacon and chestnuts, leek and chestnut dressing, broccoli frittata, celeriac and leek gratin and mushroom gravy. For desert we had pies highlighted by Ariane’s pumpkin with ginger snap crust ones. Totally yummy.
