Lake Country Fires
This is our first summer in Northern California and experiencing the ravages of forest fires. I’m glad that the fires didn’t impact the environment for Michael & Nancy’s wedding in Napa. But shortly thereafter there were a number of very large, out of control fires that for a few days created such smoke-filled skies that you thought it was fog. Living at the top of the hill, there were a couple of days that we were unable to see the houses below us on the 12.
Today we hiked in Jack London as it wasn’t too hot and the smoke hadn’t filled the skies to the point of being a pollution health risk.
The skies were a lovely blue but in the distance we could see the clouds of smoke.
